UPDATE: Globalgig changed their rates 14/03/2016
If you were confirmed on a plan prior to the rate change, that is the rates you will receive (until otherwise notified by Globalgig - I believe they will eventually change the rates for existing customers too).
All rates going forward are as per the updated rates below/see their website.
1. Just buy the SIM now
2. Then register/activate it - choose and pay for the plan you want then
3. You are good to go!
Options to get connected:
- SIM only
This is perfect if you have a 3G iPad/tablet you want to put the SIM in and go travelling with (it can work in phones but see some limitations below). Remember the SIM is data only, so don't expect call or SMS functionality, however you can use a bunch of VOiP (Skype or Viber) or messaging apps (WhatsApp or iMessage).
The hotspot includes a free SIM and enables up to 10 devices to connect and use the internet through the local WiFi signal it emits
[Updated: New and improved unlocked device - see full details here]

Important info on SIM only product
The Globalgig SIM will only work in devices that are not locked to a network provider.
The Globalgig SIM is specifically designed for use in cellular enabled tablets, and is compatible with iPad, iPad mini, iPad air and many Android tablets including Samsung Galaxy Note and TAB and Windows 8 Tablets.
Globalgig is now able to offer tethering/personal hotspot functionality on iPads and iPhones in only certain countries. For example in Aust, it will only allow the iPad to tether, not iPhone...other countries sometimes it is allowed on both, sometimes not (even on iPad), therefore the safest way to have ability to tester/hotspot is to have a hotspot device.
If using the SIM direct in phone/tablet Globalgig SIM requires setting the APN profile. For all SIMs activated after the 31st July 2014 you can use the one APN: mbb.voiamo.net
Hotspot devices sold will have this APN set for the device, so you only have to register/activate the SIM, insert the SIM into the hotspot, and turn it on and connect to its WiFi signal.
Our full FAQ and activation guide is here (including step-by-step screenshots).
Important info on Hotspot product
The Globalgig Hotspot is not locked. If you are travelling to a non-Globalgig connected country you may be able to use your Hotspot with a data plan from a local GSM carrier.
Your Hotspot is already configured with a default password, which you will find in the user guide. When you connect your Hotspot for the first time you must change your password to something only you know to prevent unauthorised people accessing your Hotspot.
